Technical Tax Senior Manager


We are actively recruiting for a Tax Senior Manager. This position is a high level technical position with overall responsibility for the technical depth and quality of Clothier & Head's tax practice. This person will work closely with the Director of Tax (possible succession role) and will also supervise and develop senior staff, providing on-the-job training. In addition, the position requires the ability to interact closely with the client to provide both expected tax services and consultative services.

Our ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience working with middle market, privately held companies where the candidate has participated in identifying and implementing tax reduction strategies, advised as to the federal income tax implications of taxable and nontaxable mergers, stock and asset acquisitions, debt restructures and post-merger integrations.  The candidate must have a strong knowledge of pass-through entities with an emphasis on Partnerships and LLCs.

Position Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience in a professional services firm providing tax compliance and consulting services to pass-through entities, particularly Partnerships and LLCs
  • Bachelors degree, J.D., LL.M. in Taxation, and/or Master’s in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university
  • Licensed CPA or attorney
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information
  • Strong technical tax research  and analytical skills
  • Experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams
  • Demonstrated business development skills
